Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child Leaders Workshop: You are invited! The local Operation Christmas Child area team is hosting a Project Leaders Workshop, which is for anyone interested in learning more about involvement with the “shoebox ministry” of Samaritan’s Purse. It’s on Saturday, Sep. 20 from 10am-11:30am at Vista Grande Baptist Church. FMI contact Melissa Klute at melissa@klute.org.

Seasonal workers for Operation Christmas Child: The 4-week long seasonal positions include customer service, coaches, greeters, and floor coordinators, warehouse positions i.e. dockworkers, quality/inventory control, class A CDL drivers and forklift drivers. The ideal candidates for these positions will have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, align with the mission of Samaritan’s Purse, work well with volunteers, be flexible, and able to function well in a fast-paced environment. DivorceCare

Forestgate is partnering with Village Seven Presbyterian Church to offer DivorceCare support groups for people seeking faith-based guidance on a recovery path after separation or divorce. The philosophy of ministry is for caring people to come alongside, to help people find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. This 13-week, video-based program will provide helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and provide practical tools for decision-making. Groups meet Sunday evenings 5:30-7:30, starting September 7 at Village Seven. Register HERE. The same course will be offered at Forestgate starting in January. EMT + Summit Event
