Thats it!

Our Deacons would like to identify, categorize, and utilize the plethora of resources (talents, gifts, time, energy, equipment, and lots more!) within our church body so that the joy of serving one another might be regularly exercised, as well as more efficiently accessed when needed. For example, if you are able to tutor someone on how to use Zoom, we might connect you with someone desperate for a virtual visit with their grandson!

With your provided talent(s) and contact information, the Service Bankers can quickly identify and deploy resources as needs are made known. Please take 5-10 minutes to complete our online FPC Service Bank Input Form below. Thank you in advance for your willingness to participate in our bank!

Nursery

We believe that our church is one big family. Because of that, we view the care of our little ones as a vital part of serving one another. Are you willing to help care for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years to allow their parents attend worship? We'd love your help!

Children's Church

Children's Church volunteers lead our little ones, ages 3-6 years old, through a series of fun activities during the prayer and sermon part of worship service. Activities include singing songs, reading a Bible story, and coloring time.

Youth Ministry Team

Women's Ministry

The Women's Ministry Team oversees all the activities designed to engage, encourage and equip women. From Bible studies to women's discipleship groups, we not only make sure these ministries have all they need to be successful, but we also work toward initiating new outlets for growth of these ministries. Men's Ministry

The Men's Ministry Team oversees all of the activities designed to engage, encourage and equip men at Forestgate. From Bible studies to men's discipleship groups, we want to make sure the men of Forestgate have opportunities to study the Word, grow in their faith, and encourage one another in life. If you're interested in serving on the team, let us know!

Community Groups

One of the best ways to connect with others at Forestgate is through community groups. Have you ever considered hosting or leading a group? There is a big need for both hosts to open up their homes and for leaders to guide groups through prayer and sermon discussion. Get started by clicking "contact us" below.

Christian Education

Christian Education includes our Sunday School program, which occurs nearly every Sunday morning during the year, and Vacation Bible School, which is usually conducted during July. Sunday school classes are offered for 3-year-olds through adults. We are not only interested in utilizing teachers, but also training up new teachers. If you are interested in helping teach Bible-based classes for children, youth, or adults, please let us know! We begin recruiting teachers and helpers for VBS in the Spring of each year. If you are interested in assisting, let us know when VBS planning is announced in the Spring.

Visitor Connection team.png

Welcome Team

Maybe it hasn't been that long since you first walked through the doors of our church. Remember how hard it can be? Where do we put our kids? What can I expect?

The Welcome Team exists to engage visitors with a warm greeting, connect with them on a personal level and answer any questions they have, and intentionally hand off visitors to people and ministries that they can plug into. If you can hold a bulletin and are willing to say "hi" to newcomers, this is the place for you!

GriefShare is a biblically-based grief recovery support group where one can find help and healing for the hurt of losing a loved one. There is a 13-week grief recovery support group that combines an insightful video with grief experts and testimonials, a small group discussion and encouraging workbook exercises. There are also 2 different stand-alone events that focus on specific topics: Loss of a Spouse and Surviving the Holidays. Currently, we offer two 13-week sessions, two Surviving the Holidays events and one Loss of a Spouse event each year to those within our church and our community. The GriefShare Ministry Team has opportunities for a variety of service areas, including: facilitating, logistics, hospitality, prayer support, admin, publicity, transportation and childcare. Complete the Interest Form below and let us help you help others as part of the team!

Engagement Ministry Team

This team is new and looking for more members! The purpose of the EMT is to cultivate self-sacrificial, neighbor-loving hearts in the congregation. We do this by strategically thinking about outreach opportunities and ways to teach and encourage members to engage with their neighbors. The goal of the EMT is not as much to "do all of the outreach activities," but rather think of ways to enable the rest of the congregation to reach out in planned events or everyday life.
