Women's Ministry Team
Our Women’s Ministry exists to equip and encourage women of all ages and seasons of life to grow in their relationships with Christ & each other. The heart of our vision is two-fold: we want to enable you to study and treasure God’s Word, and to encourage you in living out the kind of discipleship relationships described in scripture. Forestgate Women’s Ministry includes daytime and evening Bible studies, small group and one-to-one discipleship opportunities, as well as other regular group gatherings. Our prayer is that through these means God will continue to draw us to Christ, deepen our understanding of the gospel, and ignite our passion to live as the community of believers and as a light to those around us. Men's Ministry Team
At Forestgate, the mission of the Men's ministry team is "Men equipping men in Christ". We seek to equip men to become spiritual leaders in their families, church, communities and other spheres of influence the Lord provides. Every man needs encouragement from other men in his life who know him well enough to challenge and confront him in a very personal way. Furthermore, there is great value in men meeting together as men to explore the unique spiritual challenges they today face. It is our hope that through weekly Bible studies, prayer groups, and our monthly breakfasts, we can spur one another on to love and good deeds (Heb. 10:24), confess our sins to one another (Jas. 5:16), build one another up in the faith (1 Thes 5:11), and encourage each other to fight the good fight (1 Tim. 6:12)
Youth Group
Our Youth Group compliments the grace-centered mission of Forestgate tailored to the needs of ages 12- High School. The ultimate goals are to equip youth to understand and live out the truth of God’s Word consistently, defending it confidently. Meetings begin with youth-led worship music, prayer and praise time. Lessons focus on the culture around us and how we relate as Christians, “In but not of the world,” engaging and influencing the culture around us. Lively discussion is followed by food and fellowship. Additional get-togethers are often devoted to service projects within the community and in support of the church family.
Sunday School
In Matthew 28:19-20, just before Jesus ascends to the Father, he commissions the newborn church to do four things: to go, to make disciples, to baptize, and to teach believers everything He has commanded. Sunday school is one of Forestgate’s central outlets for us to be faithful to the fourth call in the great commission through in-depth teaching that will enable believers to grow into a fuller knowledge of the scriptures, Christian obedience, and love for the Word. We believe this teaching time is vital for both the brand-new Christian and the long-time member alike. Sunday school takes place every Sunday at 10 am and there are age specific classes for children, teens, and adults.
