Save the Date!

We are partnering with the El Paso County Department of Human Services (DHS) and their Christmas for Kids project again this Christmas season—November 9th through December 7th.  We want to help you help the neediest in our community! Caseworkers at DHS identify kids who do not qualify for any other Christmas gift programs and receive gift suggestions from parents, caregivers and the kids themselves. We have the opportunity to bless these kids with Christmas gifts.

Our web app, cfk.forestgate.org, will have updated adoption information beginning Sunday, November 9th. If you have questions or need assistance, a CFK team member is just an email away at cfk@forestgate.org.  

The Christmas for Kids team is looking for help with the following tasks! We will train you!

• Transcribe the children’s gift requests to a Google Docs master list.
• Staff the CFK table one Sunday morning.
• Shop and/or wrap for a Forestgater that is unable to shop (using their money!)
• Be on call for any last-minute kids—either to shop for or donate money to cover their gifts
• Sort and pack gifts for delivery to DHS. 

Remember, many hands make light work!
